Whether you're a pro, amateur, collector or hobbyist, this competition is open for ALL magic lovers!

How To Enter

Any South African citizen (currently residing in South Africa) may enter. The competition starts on Wednesday 10 February 2021 and the closing date for submissions is Sunday 4 April 2021 at 12 noon.

  1. RECORD YOUR TRICK OR ACT - Record yourself performing a trick or act of no longer than 90 seconds - you can use your cell phone or a pro video camera...just have fun!
     It can be a recorded in your living room or on a stage. As long as it's entertaining!

    It can be a performance of Close-Up Magic, Stage Magic, Large Scale Illusion, Children's Magic or Mentalism.
  2. ENTER THE COMPETITION - A video submission is only R100.  You may submit more than one video - you can submit as many videos as you want!

    Simply send an SMS or Whatsapp to 076 348 5906 with:
    * your name & surname or stage name
    * the text "My magic rocks!"
    * the number of videos you'd like to submit (unlimited entries, R100 per video). You can also contact us at a later stage if you'd like to submit additional videos!

    We'll reply with bank details. Once we've received your payment you will receive a unique competition entry code for each video submission.
  3. SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE - Head over to Radical Magic's Facebook page @RadicalMagicShop and post your video there. Include your
    competition entry code and the hashtag #RadicalMagicCompetition in your post/caption, otherwise your video will not be approved.

    The winner of the best video will receive:
    * R2000
    * free Registration to Radical Magic's Convention 6-9 August 2021
    * a performance-slot in the Gala show at Radical Magic's Convention
  4. SHARE TO YOUR PAGE - MOST SHARES GETS FREE REGISTRATION TO OUR CONVENTION - Once your video is visible on our Facebook page's timeline, share it to your own personal or page's timeline with the caption "Please share my video to help me go to Radical Magic's Convention in August!".
    The person who's video gets the most SHARES will get FREE REGISTRATION TO OUR CONVENTION IN AUGUST!

Winner Announcement

The cut-off date for video submissions is Sunday 4 April 2021 at 12 noon (GMT+2).
The winner of the BEST VIDEO as well as the winner who's post got the most SHARES, will be announced on Tuesday 6 April 2021 via a Live Broadcast on our Facebook page, at 12 noon (GMT+2).
